Armação de Pêra · Algarve

The town

Armação de Pêra offers something rare in the Algarve: long sandy beaches, a relaxed atmosphere and authentic local life, without the crowds of the larger resort towns.

Why guests choose it

Relaxed,
and still close to everything

Compared with nearby destinations such as Albufeira or Carvoeiro, Armação de Pêra feels calmer and more authentic, while still offering good restaurants, easy beach access and quick connections to the highlights of the region.

It is the kind of place where you can do as much or as little as you like.

The old town

Narrow streets,
fresh catch

The old town keeps its Portuguese character, with narrow streets, whitewashed houses and blue tiles.

Local fishermen still bring in their daily catch, and Armação de Pêra began as a small fishing community whose roots go back to 1577.

The beach

Sand, sea
and space

Praia de Armação de Pêra is one of the long stretches of sand on the Atlantic coast: room for sunbathers, swimmers and water sports, from jet skiing to kayaking and paddleboarding.

Golf, snorkelling and diving are all close by.
